I wanted a Switch Lite for my commutes to and from school, since I'd have downtime where sometimes I would have no work. Rather than being limited to the Switch's native game library, I installed LineageOS to enable remote play from one of my home consoles, giving me access to a much larger library of games during my commute. To do this, I installed a modchip, which required microsoldering directly to the board. I also upgraded the screen to an OLED and, in the process, replaced the shell and upgraded the battery. The finished system allows me to dual-boot into stock or LineageOS, allowing me to stream games from my console when I'm away from home and to play the Switch library.
